5th Week of AtAP

This week I did another update on the BLM movement in sports and specifically in the NBA bubble. Over quarantine, I watched a lot of “A day of the life in the NBA bubble” vlogs by Matisse Thybulle. It was cool to see the perspective of the players in the NBA bubble because everything seemed so secretive. In one specific vlog, he captures a team meeting about his team talking about the BLM movement and had an open discussion with whoever wanted to say what was on their mind. I thought this was a cool topic and I even put the video on my website too. So far, I think I am on a good track for the project. We are all becoming a little more stressed and want to make sure that we are putting ourselves in a good position to make sure that we are not cramming at the start of December. I think this week of thanksgiving is a good time to take a step back, reevaluate, and figure out what needs to be done and how it can be evenly spread out. Overall I am confident that the project will get done to my best ability and I am going to make sure it is something that I am proud of.

    Hey Sam,

    Awesome that you have been doing your project around the BLM movement within the realm of sports as it affects every aspect of society with taking a better look into society as a whole and people have been failing to aid one our their own. It good that you feel you are track with creating a good end project with the self awareness of not leaving it to the last minute as I have with some projects before.

    Hi,
    I think the NBA bubble is a great example of the BLM movement because Adam Silver and the players did a great job during the bubble. I think you are making good progress in the project and it is good to step away from the project to get some R and R. Good luck with the rest of the project.

    Hello Sam. It's very cool to see that you focused on the effect the BLM movement had on the NBA bubble. Many players were affected by it as games were canceled in August because of it. It's also great to see that you watched the vlogs from Matisse Thybulle so you can get an idea of what it was like for an NBA player or even a whole team. The whole movement has greatly impacted people and it's good to see that you are covering something like this. Good luck in the project.

Week 4 AtAP Update

I think that I am at a good starting stage for my project so far. After reading the description for this week's check in, I would like to do the project individually. I think this will be easier for me because of how the class is online rather than in person. I am interested to see the template you will post next week as far as planning out how to space out the project evenly, but I think that will come over time. I am also not too worried about how I am going to present my project yet because I think it is a little too early to decide that right now.
