Postmodernism WOA
I think that this work of art shows something postmodernism brought to our culture which is very unhealthy. I talked about it in my infographic and I think we all know someone that has been sucked into this thought process. This is the fact that what we buy and post on social media defines our status and how important or popular we think we are. People will go out of their way, to make their life seem all jolly and happy, and put on a front to keep their perfect and popular persona. There are people who are willing to sacrifice real relationships with people that care about them, for example family and close friends, to keep their popular and high status alive. People will also hurt their bank accounts in this way too. They will go into debt purchasing overly expensive clothes or go out somewhere expensive to keep this status.
