Week 5 Project Update

I think I am in a very good position for the project. I like how we have the checkpoints every week so I am not able to procrastinate the project to the very last second. I also like how it is separate from the blogs and in a different area. I think that will allow me to be more organized and not have to make me worry about trying to blend the two together. I have never used google cites, but it looks relatively easy. I think it will take a little time to get the presentation that I want, but for now I think I have a good idea of the basics of the website. Modernism WOA

This piece of art does a good job connecting the American Dream to Modernism and how they go hand in hand. Modernism emphasized being an individual and exploring the best way to be successful. This is very similar to the principals of the American Dream. The American Dream was made to show people there is hope in the new land and that they can go from nothing to success if they put in the right effort. It also leads to the fact that the innovation of new ideas and technology can help aid the American Dream. The picture does a good job using the fence to help blend the picture into the flag. I believe that they chose a fence because this is a type of job that fits the American Dream. Another component of the American Dream is that you do not have to be the smartest and success is all based on how hard you work.
