Course Analysis

Reflecting on this course I have learned a lot and will continue to use the skills I have learned. For me the hardest pieces were the analysis of the art on my final website. This was my most challenging piece because I had to analyze the art without fully repeating myself though my weekly updates. I think that I was able to find  a good balance of incorporating and connecting my weekly updates to my art analysis without overdoing it and just resaying the same thing over and over again. To answer the question, “What is art?”, I would say that it is a form of media that portrays a story that can be interpreted and a story behind the making of it. I believe that everything can be interpreted as art in some aspects, some more than others. I think that the reason why art is so widely liked is because of its versatility. Due to the corona virus, the National Basketball Association had to restart the NBA season in Orlando, Florida at Disney world and created the NBA bubble where no one could go in or out to make the environment as safe as possible. Before the start of the NBA restart, the black lives matter movement had come to the forefront due to multiple events of police brutality, but mostly due to the George Floyd situation. The players then came together to help spread a message of what they thought would help make a difference. With everyone still inside or quarantined for the most part, the players knew that there would be a lot of eyes on them and this would be a good time to spread an effective message.
