First Week of Using the Website

This was the first week that I was officially using my website and it definitely had a learning curve. The main thing for me was figuring out how to organize my website. I found out how to create different tabs to help organize my work and it made my work much neater. I split up the intro, my works of art, and my former posts, along with the “This I Believe” piece” all in  separate tabs which I attached to the home page. I found it pretty easy to put in text and especially pictures. It is much easier to put pictures into the google site rather than into the posts in blogger. Either way it is not too difficult. It was also helpful to have all of the tags on my blog posts so i was able to easily find and access them. I have noticed some people do not put tags on their posts which must have made this assignment much harder. I think that it is good that I have become comfortable with the website for the upcoming weeks. This will also help me prep better for what I can and cannot include. I know what I am capable of adding now so I will not come up with an idea that I cannot finish.

  1. Hey Sam, it looks like you’re in a pretty good spot for your project so far. We took a similar approach to the organization of our projects as we both used google sites. I also have separate tabs for an intro, my content, my critical analyses essays, and my This I Believe piece as well. It was easier to organize content than I originally thought but sometimes moving pictures around can mess with the layout. Good luck with developing your website further.

  2. Hi Sam. It is great that you have overcome the initial issues. It is always hard to learn how to use a new tool. I remember how frustrating it was for me using blogger at the beggining. It looks that you ended organizing everything pretty good so niche job! Now that you control it everything better everything will go smoother. Just make sure to plane ahead what you want to do each week in order to have time enough to review your final work at the end.
